　　6月7日中午，位于孟加拉南部吉大港附近的集裝箱倉庫大火被撲滅，這已經是在周六晚上9點（當地時間）火災發生61小時后，據悉，消防員在燃燒的堆場附近發現了另外四個裝滿化學品的箱子。據報道，此次事件中，有大約200名軍人協助消防員撲滅了孟加拉國歷史上最大的火災事件之一。

　　官員們報告說，裝有過氧化氫的集裝箱被倉庫操作員錯誤的標記，導致消防員用水而不是泡沫來滅火，從而引發爆炸反應。該倉庫的所有者尚未對這些指控發表評論。

　　吉大港市消防局副局長Anisur Rahman表示，盡管部分裝滿化學品的集裝箱現在已經轉移到更安全的地方，但由于它們仍然溫度很高，擔心仍有發生進一步事故的風險。

　　環境部表示，該倉庫未經有關當局許可一直在儲存過氧化氫。按照規定，相關場地必須獲得環境部門對儲存化學品的批準，設施需要獲得消防部門和爆炸物部門的許可。
